Fit & installation
Will it fit my kitchen tap?
Most standard Australian kitchen taps, yes — the NERŌ Kitchen Filter screws straight onto an M22 thread with nothing added. If yours is a different size, the kit in the box covers G1/2, F20 and F24 external threads, M22 and M24 internal, plus a universal adapter that clamps on when there's no thread at all. It won't fit pull-out or spray taps, or taps with a square or oval opening. Check your tap →
Do I need a plumber or any tools?
No. Unscrew the aerator at the end of your tap and screw the NERŌ Kitchen Filter in its place — about a minute, no tools, no plumber. A printed guide ships in the box.
What if my tap thread isn't one of the sizes in the box?
It's uncommon — between the threaded adapters and the universal one, the kit covers most Australian kitchen taps. If yours turns out to be unusual, send us a photo of the tap tip and we'll tell you exactly which adapter you need; they cost a few dollars at any hardware shop. And if it can't be made to fit, send it back — you have 30 days and we cover the return postage.
What's inside the box?
NERŌ Kitchen Filter, your cartridges (2 with Starter, 4 with Year Supply), the adapter kit (G1/2, F20 and F24 external threads, M22 and M24 internal, plus a universal adapter for taps with no thread) with sealing washers and thread tape, and a printed installation guide. It ships in clean, unbranded steel — no logo engraving.
The filter
What does the NERŌ Kitchen Filter actually do?
It reduces the chlorine, sediment, and the metallic taste and odour that come from ageing pipes. Your water simply tastes and feels better.
Does it remove PFAS, lead, or fluoride?
It reduces chlorine, sediment, and the metallic taste that comes from old pipes — that's what activated carbon does. Lead, fluoride, and PFAS we don't claim: we only put our name on what we can prove.
Can I still use hot water?
Yes — just not through the filter. The lever switches between filtered and unfiltered: leave it on unfiltered and your tap behaves exactly as it always did, hot water and full flow for the washing up. Keep the filtered side to cold. It's rated to 38 °C, and running hot through the cartridge shortens its life and can leave the taste off for a while afterwards.
Cartridges
How long does each cartridge last?
About three months of typical household use. Starter ships with 2 cartridges (about 6 months), Year Supply with 4 (about 12 months). Heavier use shortens cartridge life proportionally.
How do I know when to replace it?
Every three months. Swapping a cartridge takes seconds and needs no tools.
Where do I get replacement cartridges?
Refill packs are on the site — four cartridges, a full year of filtered water. See the Refill pack.
Ordering, delivery & returns
What's the difference between Starter and Year Supply?
The same stainless steel filter, either way. Starter comes with 2 cartridges (about six months). Year Supply comes with 4 (about twelve months) at a better price per cartridge — the same water, fewer reorders.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
Free, right across Australia, with tracking on every order. We dispatch from Byron Bay within 1–2 business days, and Australia Post usually takes 2–6 business days from there — a little longer for WA, NT, Tasmania and remote areas.
What if I don't love it?
Send it back within 30 days for a full refund. We cover return shipping within Australia. No fee, no fine print.
